What We're Diggin'!

We have decided that in an effort for you, our readers, to get to know us a little better, and to vary up the content of our blog in between photography posts, we're going to make an effort to blog a fun, what-we're-up-to type of post at least once a week.

When we were discussing this new idea, but before we had decided on what to call it, we referred to it as a "What We're Diggin'" theme...  Being the nerds that we are, it kind of stuck.  And we ARE nerds.  Awesome nerds.

So, without further ado, I present to you our first What We're Diggin' post....

This week, I am diggin' Soia & Kyo Coats!

These coats are so great.  Canadian-made (Yeah, Montreal!) and super stylish.  I currently own two of them, and am constantly plotting my next purchase.  They're sold at a couple of locations here in Regina, and they also have a great online store.  And right now, all winter stock is 35% off... don't tell my husband, but I might order the "Violet" coat.  :)

(PS - we better mention, these images don't belong to us, they belong to Soia & Kyo!)

Wedding Obsession | Love List

As our studio continues to expand, we've had the pleasure of getting to know more people in the industry. One of these people is Melissa, the mastermind behind the Wedding Obsession website. Melissa's site is full of inspiration for brides-to-be. After visiting her site once, I was hooked! She has page after page of gorgeous wedding photos, most of which have been taken right here in Canada (and most of which make me want to get married all over again!). We're so excited that Melissa added Bella Carta Studios to her "love list" for Regina photographers. Thanks Melissa, and we hope we get the chance to meet you in person soon!

Erin + Scott | Wedding...in Maui!

About a year ago, Erin and Scott (aka Kiefer) started planning their destination wedding in Maui. Erin kept me updated with pictures of the venue and little tidbits about some of the other planning, but I was completely unprepared for just how beautiful everything would be. The location was the Olowalu Plantation house and it was perfect. The details, the colours, the scenery - this wedding was planned to perfection! Making it even more special was that it was the marriage of one of our closest family friends to the woman of his dreams. Thanks Erin and Kiefer for asking me to photograph your wedding. You have wonderful friends and family and we had so much fun getting to know everyone. It was an amazing wedding and an amazing vacation. Mahalo!

Family | The Vanstones

Another appearance by the Vanstone family on our blog - this time for Christmas pictures!  Baby Autumn is getting bigger and bigger every time I see her.  Wow, did she look cute for this shoot in her little Christmas outfits!  And the V-fam has a great house for indoor photos - check it out.... :)

And we can't forget about kitty-cat Reece... :)
