Baby, baby, baby - oh!

Aaand, last but not least for today's call-to-model - newborns! We want your newest, your tiniest, your cutest, and we want to put them in front of our lenses to capture those beautiful little people before they grow up, so you have amazing, lasting memories of them in the first few weeks of their lives.  If you're willing to have your newborn be our model and will let us use the images for our portfolio, we'll give you a disc of all the edited images.  Email either Kristen or Brandi for more information!

What's that? A Bella Carta boudoir session?!

That's right, we've decided to delve into the world of boudoir photography and we're looking for some volunteers. We're keeping it classy and need a couple of ladies who are willing to help us expand our portfolio in exchange for a disc containing all of their edited photos.  If you are one of those ladies, drop us a line!  We'll need you to book a pretty hotel room to use as the location, or for you to let us shoot in your house.  Time to bust out the lingerie, ladies!

Ha -  The bust pun was totally not intended, but now I think it's hilarious and have to leave it up!

Good things come in 10x10 packages | Bella Carta custom albums

Brandi and I are so happy to be offering custom wedding albums to all of our 2011 brides and grooms. We introduced these albums late last year and now include them in all of our wedding packages. The albums come with mounted lustre coated pages (thick pages with a protective coating that helps increase longevity). My favourite feature of the albums is the lay-flat pages, which allow us to create spreads with pictures running across the centre of the page. This gives us so much more freedom with design and allows us to create high impact layouts that punctuate the story of your wedding day.

It's fun and easy to share photos online, but it's important not to let the computer be the only place your images live. There's something special about being able to hold a book designed especially for you and know that you'll be able to share your story for generations to come. 

P.S. Not that it really matters, but I totally had to bust out my HTML coding skills from my intro Computer Science class to get this blog post to work. Okay, it does matter. I'm insanely proud right now.

Engagement | Nathan + Carla

A couple weeks ago Nathan and Carla braved the cold weather and came to Regina for their engagement shoot. It was a cold, cold day - much like every other day we've had lately - so we spent the majority of the afternoon shooting indoors. We had a great afternoon with these two and are eagerly waiting to test out our new gear at their wedding next month. Only 7 more weeks (but who's counting??)! Thanks for playing along with us and not even flinching for our mandatory nerd shots:)
