As my daughter would say, "Happy to you, Annie Banni!"
Over the last few years, Brandi and I have spent countless hours together photographing weddings, families, couples, and even women and their cats (we've all got to start somewhere!). We've spent late nights huddled together in front of a computer screen, strategizing and trying to figure out how the heck to run a business. We've gotten to be such close friends that we have the same thoughts, say the same things and make the same jokes (except for her collection of awful jokes - those are hers alone). If our appearances weren't polar opposite and I wasn't so much younger (hee hee), I think we could be twins.
Being my photography/business partner has it's perks (although I can't think of any right now), but it also requires a lot of patience, a sense of humour, and extremely well developed listening skills. Thankfully for me, Brandi has all of these qualities. She's done an awful lot of listening over the past few months, which I appreciate so much more than she realizes.
Brandi's more than willing to step up when there's something I can't do. There she is, my fearless business partner, standing on the top level of our stepladder because being that high up scares me and makes my legs shaky. Now that's a committed partner.
Happy birthday to my other better half! It's been a pleasure sharing a brain with you. I promise to never unfollow you on twitter.
